Variant Phrase Searches

For single word searches, it is relatively fast, but takes a LOT of time with phrases (at least half a minute); after pressing search go for a coffee.





To search for the Old English special characters, please use the upper case characters as specified below:

to search for ash (Æ, æ), use A (uppercase A)

to search for eth (Ð, ð), use D (uppercase D)

to search for thorn (Þ, þ), use T (uppercase T)

to search for tailed e (Ę, ę), use E (uppercase E)

to search for crossed l (), use L (uppercase L)

to search for crossed thorn (), use Z (uppercase Z)

For all other normal letters, use lowercase letters.

Attention Macintosh Users: on your machines, thorn may appear as an fl ligature and eth as >.
